5 Easy Ways to Help Raise Breast Cancer Awareness

Remember that October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. There's hardly a person in our country today who isn't affected by breast cancer, either as a survivor, a friend or relative of a patient, a health care worker, or simply as a member of our society. Do your part to help find a cure! Here are five ways to help raise awareness:

5. Think pink. Many companies, corporations and retailers donate a percentage of purchases to breast cancer research when you purchase certain products. But first....

4. ...educate yourself about the pink ribbons you see on products! Some companies only donate tiny amounts, some require the use of coupons, some don't even donate at all! Here is a highly informative website called Think Before You Pink that will help you decide where to best spend your breast cancer awareness dollars.

3. Visit The Breast Cancer Site every day. Their sponsors will fund free mammograms just by visitors' daily click.

2. Raise awareness through wearing a t-shirt that reminds women to get mammograms! See some clever t-shirt ideas below.

1. Get an annual mammogram, and encourage women in your family to get one every year!
